– alte Sorten, voll im Trend und super lecker. Was man \u00fcber Tomatensorten wissen sollte<\/h2>\n

Wer derzeit auf dem Markt oder dem supermarkt genauer hinschaut, entdeckt lautern unterschiedliche Tomatensorten<\/strong> – gr\u00fcne Tomaten, gefleckte Tomaten, millierte Tomaten, dunkel rote Tomaten,lila, sogar gelbe Tomaten. Von riesen gro\u00df bis super klein.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Es handelt sich hierbei um sogenannte \u201calte Sorten von Tomaten<\/em>\u201d. Das hei\u00dft schon Omi und Opi kannten diese Tomaten. Sie hatten sie vielleicht im Garten, nachdem die Tomate nach den zweiten Weltkrieg immer popul\u00e4rer wurde. Verschwunden waren diese Wilden Sorten<\/em>, weil wir im Zeitalter der Globalisierung wohl auch die Vorstellung von eine globalen Tomate hatten. Und eben jenen globale Tomate war in unserer Vorstellung rund und rot und nicht nicht oval gesprenkelt. Zudem verlangte der Markt nach m\u00f6glichst vielen und vor allem nach ganzj\u00e4hrigen Tomaten. Dies konnte vor allem die klassische Strauchtomate<\/strong> gew\u00e4hrleisten.<\/p>\n

Beinahe w\u00e4ren die alten Tomatensorten komplett von der Bildfl\u00e4che verschwunden. Beinahe – w\u00e4ren sie nicht -kurz vor ihrem Dahinschwinden- auf dem einen oder anderen Bio-Markt aufgetaucht.<\/p>\n

So,welch ein Gl\u00fcck, sind die \u201calten wilden Tomaten\u201d <\/em>nicht ausgestorben, sondern feiern nun ein grandioses Comeback.<\/p>\n

Zu Recht! Wer eben noch seinen Tomatensalat<\/strong> mit schn\u00f6den roten, runden holl\u00e4ndischen Strauchtomaten gemacht hat, dem empfehle ich: ab und zum Bio\/Wochen-Markt, oder sogar gar zu Edeka, da gibt es Prinzen. Nicht auf Pferden, nicht in R\u00fcstung, sondern schwarze Prinzen, von edler Herkunft und von noch edlerem Geschmack. Der Klassiker und der den alten Tomatensorten ist n\u00e4mlich eben der schwarze Prinz<\/strong>. (Du siehst ihn ganz rechts im obersten Food-Foto).<\/p>\n

Auch vom Bio-Bauern und nicht aus einer fernen Galaxie – Sputnik <\/strong>(vorne im Bild unten).<\/p>\n

Black Cherry,<\/strong> dunkel rot und ein bi\u00dfchen gr\u00fcn- Mittlerweile die Mainstream-Tomate unter den Trend-Tomaten, findet man mittlerweile schon bei Netto und Aldi.<\/p>\n

Auch andere dieser Tomaten gl\u00e4nzen mit neumodischen Namen. So hei\u00dft die immer-gr\u00fcne Tomate (Achtung Schenkelklopfer): Evergreen. <\/strong>Jene Tomate, welche aussieht als w\u00fcrde sie in Flammen stehen, nennt man Tigerella.<\/strong> Weniger niedlich, daf\u00fcr umso pathetischer Brandywine<\/strong>, Brandywine<\/strong> gibt es in rot und auch in gelb. Tats\u00e4chlich ist Brandywine<\/strong> bei weitem nicht die einzige gelbe Tomate, <\/em>gelb ist nach rot wohl die zweit-h\u00e4ufigste Tomatenfarbe.<\/p>\n

Wer jetzt denkt, so hippe Namen f\u00fcr so alte Dinger. Warum hei\u00dfen Omas Gertrud und Liselotte und ne olle Tomate hat einen coolen Piraten Namen wie Black Pear?? <\/strong>Ganz einfach, die Tomate hatten fr\u00fcher einfach noch gar keine Namen. Es waren eben einfach nur „Tomaten“.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So viel zu der Geschichte der alten Tomaten. N\u00e4chstes Jahr werde ich in meinem Garten auch Tomaten pflanzen. eine Staude habe ich bereits. Bis dahin kaufe ich sie beim Markt. Und mache aus ihnen unglaublich leckeren Tomatensalat. Denn diese Tomaten sehen nicht nur toll aus, sie schmecken auch so. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
